Clearing Student Progress

If you would like to reset or clear out the progress data for your student(s), there are two ways to do this. Keep in mind, once progress data is cleared there is no way to recover that data. Please be sure you want to clear out progress data before taking this action.

Student-by-Student Basis

Admins and Teachers are able to clear out the progress data of individual students. This must be done one-by-one.

  1. On the Users page, click the “Edit” icon next to a student.

2. Scroll to the bottom of the profile page and click “Clear student scores and progress”

Our Customer Success team has a few more options for clearing student data. We are able to clear out data across a whole organization, clear data from a building or Group within an organization, or by individual student as well. To have us clear out your student data, simply email support@sunburst.com and let us know!

IMPORTANT NOTE: When our Customer Success team clears out student progress data it also clears/resets the students’ settings back to grade defaults. If you have a lot of custom settings for a student or Group of students, you may want to have us clear out all OTHER students or Groups and you clear those students individually.
